The Shared Education for Positive Innovation (SEPI) Programme empowers young people to become leaders in creating a sustainable and peaceful world. Our innovative approach combines education with action, equipping you with the skills to tackle pressing global issues.
You, along with 999 fellow students, will work through these courses together, with opportunities to collaborate with other schools on various activities and projects.

What Will These Courses Cover?

You will complete two modules:
🌍 Climate Change – The Science
Discover the science behind climate change, its impacts, and what you can do to help. Engage with interactive lessons that empower you to understand and address this global challenge.

✌️ Peacebuilding: Climate Action + Peace
Learn how addressing climate change can contribute to building peaceful communities. Explore the connections between environmental sustainability and social justice and gain the tools to advocate for positive change.

November:
Staff and Student Training Days

Staff and Student Training DaysIntroduction to the SEPI Programme staff, training on the online platform, and opportunities for teachers and students to connect with other schools.

November to January:
SEPI Academy Online Courses

SEPI Academy Online CoursesComplete the mandatory online courses in Climate and Peacebuilding on the Kinia platform. These courses must be finished before progressing to the impact days.

January to February:
Impact Days

Impact Days Learn problem-solving methods like Design Thinking and engage with some of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland’s most innovative companies. Work as a team to design solutions to real challenges related to sustainability and climate action.

February to March:
Virtual Climate Business Solution Masterclass

Virtual Climate Business Solution MasterclassFurther develop the ideas your team designed during the Impact Day. Receive feedback from industry experts and company representatives. Hear from entrepreneurs using innovation to solve sustainability challenges as you prepare for the Climate Summit.

April 3rd:
Climate Summit and Innovation Awards

If you’re a semi-finalist, you’ll be invited to pitch your innovative idea to business leaders. Get your voice heard and see if you make it to the finals!"
